Black-Red-Strapless-Rockabilly-Polkadot-Prom-DressThe Housing Authority of Fulton County (HAFC) and the Resident Advisory Board (RAB) are sponsoring the second Annual Prom Closet Program. HAFC is seeking donations for gently used and clean prom/formal dresses of all sizes. The donated formal wear will allow young women without the financial resources to purchase a dress to choose a free dress and accessories. Priority will be given to Housing Authority of Fulton County residents.

Items needed for the Prom Closet include: Gently used formal dresses, shoes, accessories (bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc.) and handbags.

Formalwear and accessories can be dropped off at HAFC is located at 4273 Wendell Drive.  Drop-off hours are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until April 1. The HAFC is seeking applicants for the 2011 dress giveaway. Qualifying high school seniors selected to receive a dress will have a “shopping day” to select a dress and accessories. The 2011 Prom Closet program has a new feature that will benefit young men graduating in 2011 who cannot afford to purchase a tuxedo. Qualifying male seniors can apply for a tuxedo.
