The Atlanta Police Department continues to investigate yesterday’s deadly crash that that killed a Federal Express employee.

According to APD reports, officers responded at  3:40 p.m. to an auto accident involving a Gwinnett transport bus and a FedEx delivery truck at Central Avenue and Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. The driver of the FedEx vehicle was transported to Grady Hospital and has died and the driver of the bus was transported to Grady Hospital in critical condition.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the bus was traveling north on Central when it ran a red light and collided with the FedEx vehicle. Both vehicles then struck a nearby building causing damage to the building. At this time the accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
