A five member Cityhood Subcommittee on Governmental Affairs has been appointed to try and sort out the overlapping maps from two North Dekalb cityhood movements, according to a report at Decaturish.

Former adversaries Briarcliff and Lakeside merged to become LaVista Hills, but the new entity was unable to meet a Nov. 15 deadline to work out overlapping boundaries with supporters wanting to create a city of Tucker.

The Georgia Legistlature is expected to take up the cityhood issue again during the 2015 session.
