Brookhaven parks and recreation officials plan to hold a school supply drive in connection with the “Back-to-school Splash Party” scheduled at several city pools Aug. 1.
Tables will be set up from noon until 2 p.m. at city pools in Briarwood and Lynwood parks to collect donations of basic school supplies, the city announced. People who donate will be eligible to enter a raffle.
The “Splash Party” will offer music, food and activities for children, the city says

on its website.
The party is planned for the pools at Briarwood Park, 2235 Briarwood Way; Lynwood Park, 3360 Osborne Road; and Murphey Candler Park, 1551 W. Nancy Creek Drive.
