
Lever Stewart took office as the new chairman of the board of the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce during the chamber’s annual luncheon on Jan. 21. Stewart, president and CEO of MLQ Attorney Services, took over the post from Bank of Sandy Springs president Chris Burnett.

Teresa M. Finley, left, senior vice president for Global Marketing for UPS, delivered the keynote speech. She called for businesses to get involved in solving issues such as hunger and to provide relief in global disasters and emergencies.
“The job of leadership now falls more squarely to business. Business has the reach. It has the local knowledge,” she said. “We have the big project skills that are central in an emergency.”
