Downtown’s massive Central Library could be vacated and sold by Fulton County to raise cash for a much smaller replacement facility, according to a report from Creative Loafing. Another alternative might be renovating the Brutalist block designed in 1970 by famed architect Marcel Breuer.
Chef Anne Quatrano will move her awarding-wining Bacchanalia restaurant and Star Provisions gourmet shop from Westside Provisions District to a soon-to-be-constructed building on Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard next year, according to Atlanta magazine. Quatrano will close Little Bacch – the smaller, more casual version of Bacchanalia –also located at Westside Provisions District.
The Metro Atlanta Chamber will move from its own multi-story building on Centennial Olympic Park to the 34th floor of the 191 Peachtree Tower by the end of the year, according to a report at Atlanta Business Chronicle.
