Poet, musician and artist Kodac Harrison retired as the host of the long-running Java Monkey Speaks open mic on Sunday night. A standing-room only crowd watched as Harrison performed music and poems as he passed the hosting torch to award-winning poet Theresa Davis. The coffee house has hosted the poetry open mic every Sunday night for more than 15 years.
