4837-resize-550x366The Downtown Daffodil Celebration is under way with a series of events and tours all month long.

Presented by Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, the inaugural event is offering walking, biking and Streetcar tours of the various daffodil locations; “Daffy Hour” featuring after-work food and drink specials; encouraging workers, students and residents to wear yellow on Friday; special rates at Downtown hotels, live lunch-hour music on Wednesdays; and a photo contest.

Central Atlanta Progress, in conjunction with Am Yisrael Chai!, launched the Downtown Daffodil Project in 2013 in support of the worldwide Daffodil Project, which aims to build a Living Holocaust Memorial by planting 1.5 million daffodils around the world to remember and represent the one and a half million children who died in Nazi occupied Europe and those that continue to experience human rights violations today.
