1. Your DeKalb Farmers Market a go-to since 1977
? Your DeKalb Farmers Market is unlike anywhere else in Metro Atlanta.
The chaotic hum of the market is somehow embraced into order and organization. Multiple languages printed on identification cards reflect flags representing various countries hanging above the meat and seafood counters and rows of produce stands. Immaculate pastries are stationed behind glass, while long lines snake from the rotisserie chicken stand on Wednesdays.
Your DeKalb Farmers Market feels both otherworldly and anachronistic in the best possible way.

2. Sundown on Sundance
? I’m finally back from Sundance (at least, the physical part of things), and I keep asking myself: is there anything I would do differently next time?
The answer? Yes! I had so much fun, but I think if I’m ever lucky enough to go again (hello to all my editors who are reading this!), I would make a point to step out and do more of the non-industry and press screenings. Before going, I didn’t realize how far away the P&I screenings would be from – well, pretty much everything else. It makes it easy to see a ton of movies in rapid succession, but I only really got to explore the rest of Park City one evening, and I didn’t get a chance to see the inside of some of the more famous theaters in town.
I would also try to make at least one reservation for a good restaurant – although shout out to Fresh Market, Starbucks, Sergio’s, and Top of the Main Brew Pub for getting me through the weekend and letting me use your outlets. You were all perfect, no notes.
Later this week, I’ll have the official rundown of my favorite movies that I saw (excluding some online screenings that I’ll be partaking in this weekend; the fun truly never stops!) along with a look into a Georgia-based panel I attended.
? But for now, this is Sammie signing off from Sundance.
