The Breman Museum has announced the 2025 launch of their new Levison Family Music Series of events.
This series is named in honor of Jarvin Levison, an Atlanta attorney who practiced law for over 70 years and dedicated himself to philanthropy and supporting the Jewish community and culture. According to a press release, he was instrumental in founding The Breman, and continued to support the museum for nearly three decades after its establishment
The creation of this new series highlights the continued commitment to arts and cultural programming by the extended Levison family, led by Jenny Levison, Karen and Danny Levison, and Sharoni and Michael Levison.
“The Breman is important to us and was important to my father,” said Mike Levison in a press release. “He felt, and our family feels, that the music series is vital to the vision of The Breman as it continues its evolution from an institution focused on Jewish culture, art and history, including an important Holocaust exhibition, to a full-fledged Jewish cultural center whose outreach includes a strong performance calendar. The new music series named in honor of our father is vital to connecting The Breman to the community at large.”

According to a press release distributed by The Breman, the new series will start on Feb. 23 and will be replacing the Molly Blank Concert Series, which just celebrated its 10th anniversary season at The Breman in 2024.
“The Molly Blank Concert Series was a new beginning for this institution,” said Executive Director of The Breman Leslie Gordon in a press release. “It started us in our evolution from serving Atlanta purely as a museum toward becoming a center offering a robust array of programming. The Molly Blank Fund of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation continues to strongly support our activities as we expand our programming disciplines in new and important ways.”
According to the release, the series of events are as follows:
Feb. 23: The Joe Alterman Trio, featuring Atlanta jazz pianist Joe Alterman, will play with violinist Aaron Weinstein in a show called “Strings Attached”.
March 23: A trio called Mazel! will perform classic Yiddish songs. The full stage lineup will consist of Ten-time Grammy-winning vocalist Janis Siegel, Grammy-nominated pianist John di Martino, and Cantor Daniel Kramer, all backed up by Boris Kozlov on bass.
June 8: The Flying Carpet Theatre Company will premiere their concert-cabaret show, “Accentuate the Positive: The Music of Arlen and Mercer,” featuring the work of songwriting duo, Johnny Mercer and Harold Arlen.
Tickets are $50 per show for museum members and $60 per show for non-members. Museum members can also purchase a season ticket for $100.
